Gaining regional recognition
30th November 2016

We’re really proud of the regional accolades we’ve received this year, adding two further business awards to our trophy cabinet.

At the Business Insider Made in South West Awards we were shortlisted in two categories; we were announced winner of the Advanced Manufacturer of the Year Award, and finalist for the SME Manufacturing Company of the Year Award.

In addition, Managing Director Craig Peterson was named Entrepreneur of the Year at the South West Business Insider 42 under 42 Awards.

Craig says: “The business has been going from strength to strength so it’s great to receive recognition for what we’ve achieved this year and the team were thrilled to go home with another top prize.

“I’m also immensely proud to have been named ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’, and while it’s my name on the award, it really is a testament to the team I have around me. We have worked hard to get where we are, and have ambitious plans for the future. We’ve weathered volatile markets and achieved diversity through engineering excellence.”

Craig has owned the company since a management buyout in 2008, but started working with the firm ten years previously on the shop floor. Since then, he has transformed the business growing its turnover from £3m to £8m, expanding into new markets and gaining industry accreditations and approvals in the process.

“By diversifying into new markets and gaining the accreditations that position us strongly within them, we have grown and developed a greater breadth of expertise. At the same time, we have retained our flexibility and our ability to react to the demands of our customers much more swiftly than other businesses of our size.”
