From a strong engineering background, Craig joined FutureAM in 1999 and was appointed Project Manager in 2004 with responsibility for the International development of the Company's Aerodynamic Modelling expertise. His absolute passion for turning a spark of an idea into real technology saw him buy the Company in 2008, giving him the ability to turn FutureAM into a next generation engineering company. His passion for R&D, the challenge of precision engineering high end, exotic materials and his belief that designers and programmers should work hand in hand with engineers and project management has set FutureAM apart from other companies.
As CEO of FutureAM Craig is responsible for the strategic development of the business. He continues to expand the development and production of safety-critical and high-integrity parts through reinvestment and penetration of new markets.
Jon joined FutureAM in 1998 from a tool-making position within the Plastics Injection Mould industry. He was appointed Project Manager in 1999 specialising in the Design and Manufacture of Plastics Injection Mould tools for the telecommunications, medical and domestic shower industries. With more than twenty years technical expertise in the analysis and planning of contracts related to the production of complex safety-critical parts for Aerospace and Oilfield guidance systems, Jon is an expert in his field.
Jon was appointed Production Director in 2010, but continues to Project Manage within certain specialist areas including the development of new processes and approved techniques.
Mark joined FutureAM in August 2008 as Designer, with over 20 years experience of the design of Aerospace Tooling and Test Equipment at GE (Dowty) Propellers, during which time he gained detailed knowledge of Blades and Resin-transfer Moulding. In mid-2010, Mark was appointed Chief Designer and is now responsible for the management of a team of three designers working within Aerospace, Medical and Aerodynamics Testing.
Areas of special expertise include the manufacture of Flight-released Components, Propellers and Resin Transfer Mould tooling.
Kathy joined FutureAM in March 2015 as Finance Manager, rapidly being promoted to Finance Director in August. Being ACCA qualified and passing her exams in 1994 at UWE Bristol, Kathy has worked in finance for 27 years in both practice and industry.
Her previous position was in the building industry, working for a privately-owned company that specialised in the manufacture and distribution of plumbing plastics and insulation materials. Prior to that Kathy worked for PKF (accountants), who were the ninth largest accountancy firm in the UK.
Sean joined FutureAM in 2015 as a Customer Account/Project Manager bringing with him 25 years of manufacturing experience in aerospace and oil and gas. He started his career in 1990 as an apprentice toolmaker at Moog Controls Ltd. then became a member of their Manufacturing Engineering team also completing an HNC in Manufacturing Engineering.
For the following 20 years he held several key positions ranging from Technical Manager and Works Manager of two successful subcontract engineering businesses to Manufacturing Plant Manager for a major Oil and gas service provider delivering rotary steerable tools to service a global market.
Simon joined FutureAM in 2015, an apprentice trained engineer with over 20 years knowledge of tooling design, technical support and project procurement for plastic injection moulding, metal casting and complex component machining for a range of NPI projects within the Aerospace, Medical & Automotive industries.
Having completed an apprenticeship with Kohler Mira in Cheltenham Simon has worked in a variety of Project roles supporting procurement of tooling & components for the global Faucet industry, including working with European & Far East tooling suppliers. Prior to joining Future, Simon spent the previous 3 years within the Automotive industry on projects for Jaguar Land Rover & Nissan.
Simon is currently supporting projects for our Medical, Marine & Aerospace customers.
Customer Account / Project Manager
Jonny joined FutureAM in 2008 after completing a BEng degree in Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering. He gained extensive knowledge of the company in his first three years, working in both Quality and Production Control. In 2011 Jonny completed a Masters degree in Sustainable Energy at Cardiff University whilst continuing to work for Future.
In 2012 Jonny was appointed Customer Account/Project Manager. Utilising his prior experience of the company he is responsible for co-ordinating multi-level tooling kits throughout manufacture.
Arash joined FutureAM in November 2012 as the Quality Manager, having completed his Masters Degree in Material Engineering from University of Birmingham in 2012.
Prior to joining the world of Aerospace following his graduation in 1995 as Material Engineer (Metallurgist), Arash was a qualified NDT Engineer in general engineering applications including Power Generation industry, Petrochemical plants, Automotive industry, etc. He changed his path from General Engineering to Aerospace Quality in 2000 as Metallurgist/Quality Engineer. He was awarded his Diploma in Quality Management by Chartered Institute of Quality (CQI) in 2008.
Supply Chain Manager
Dave is MCIPS qualified with formal Mechanical Engineering qualifications and joined FutureAM in January 2013 as Supply Chain Manager. Prior to this he had spent seven years working within the European Space industry in a purchasing and supplier management role, supporting the manufacture of major Satellite Components for both commercial and scientific programmes.
Dave has predominantly worked in the Nuclear and Aerospace sectors throughout his career, and has extensive knowledge and experience of the stringent technical and Quality requirements that are mandatory within high-integrity manufacturing environments.
PA to Craig Peterson
Catherine was trained by the Dowty Group, initially working for the Supplies Manager at Dowty Hydraulic Units and then subsequently working for the Group Chief Accountant and Finance Director. Following several senior administrative roles, including five years as Secretary to the Managing Director of the UK arm of an international biotechnology company, Catherine joined FutureAM in 2006 to assist the Production Director and Project Managers.
In 2008 Catherine became Craig's PA and as such her prime role is to support him closely on a daily basis and to make his life easier, but she also supports the senior management team with detailed organisational matters.
