Company Overview

Our client is a leading global aerospace manufacturer, known for designing and producing state-of-the-art commercial aircraft and defence systems. They have a strong focus on innovation and sustainability, continually driving advancements in aviation technology. With operations around the world, the company is dedicated to connecting people and communities through reliable and cutting-edge aerospace solutions. Their diverse portfolio includes aircraft manufacturing, defence, and space exploration, with a commitment to enhancing both safety and efficiency in the aerospace industry.

Client Need

The client required an advanced wing prototype for a next-generation aircraft project. The wing needed to meet complex aerodynamic and structural requirements, with the ability to undergo various tests under different configurations. The prototype needed to be highly accurate, with precise tolerances to ensure it would pass extensive performance evaluations and contribute valuable data to the overall development process.

Our Approach

Design and Engineering
We collaborated closely with the client’s engineering team to finalize the design of the wing prototype. Using advanced CAD tools, we ensured the design incorporated all required specifications for performance, aerodynamics, and strength. The design also allowed for flexibility in configuration to support various testing conditions, making it adaptable to the client’s evolving requirements.

Advanced Machining
Our next step was manufacturing the prototype using advanced machining technologies. we utilized our
Hedelius Tiltenta II Magnum 3600, to handle highly complex geometries with unmatched precision. Its 5-axis capabilities allow us to machine parts from virtually any angle, reducing the need for multiple setups and ensuring faster production without compromising accuracy. This machine’s high dynamic performance and rigid design enabled us to maintain extremely tight tolerances on both geometric features and structural components, ensuring every part was manufactured to meet the client’s exact specifications.

Inspection and Quality Control
Once the prototype was machined, we conducted thorough inspections using advanced measuring tools, ensuring the wing met all dimensional and structural standards. Each component was carefully checked for alignment and performance to ensure that the prototype met the highest standards of quality and reliability.
